WATER DAMAGE &
DELAMINATION

Water damage is the single biggest threat to the long term condition of a fibreglass caravan. It gets in through cracks, damaged seals, failed joins and impact points, and once it's in, it spreads silently through the wall and roof cavities, saturating insulation, rotting substrates and causing the fibreglass skins to delaminate from the structure behind them.

The problem with water damage is that by the time it's obvious on the inside, it's usually been building for a while on the outside. At LBM Fibreglass we assess and repair water damage and delamination in fibreglass caravans, addressing both the source of the ingress and the damage it's caused.

Water damage repairs require a methodical approach. Before any repair work begins, we need to identify and address the source of the water ingress, otherwise the same problem will return. We inspect the van thoroughly, tracing the damage back to its entry point and assessing the full extent of what's been affected.

Once we have a clear picture, we remove all moisture-affected material, allow the structure to dry properly, and rebuild and laminate back to the correct specification. The entry point is then properly sealed to prevent recurrence.
